After three days of not working on my writing, I am doing it today. After procrastinating for a few hours this morning, I have the rest of the day open to gather all of my poems, see what needs work and see what's ready to go out into the world. It's a little scary, my poems are scattered like fallen seeds all around the internet, on my computer, in various notebooks, on little scraps of paper tucked away in drawers, on list serves and blogs...it might take me awhile to gather them together but in the end I think I'll have enough for my first chapbook.
Today, what prevents you from organizing all of your work? What prevents you from sending out work? What prevents you from finishing a writing project? Fear of success or fear of failure. What can you do today that will get you one step closer to your creative writing goals? Now get back to work!
